Description

Responsibilities:

  • Create appropriate marketing strategy frameworks for marketing initiatives to act as guidelines for customer, proposition and market development for the UK B2C cards business
  • Work in close collaboration with commercial colleagues to assist in the development of both short and mid-term marketing strategy to support commercial and customer aspirations, including the delivery of the annual marketing and integrated communications plan for the UK business
  • Partner closely with Insights and Analytical teams to ensure robust interpretation and actionable plans are formed around relevant data/insights analysis to assist in the marketing strategy creation
  • Regularly review customer metrics and propose recommendations for action in relation to key indicators from the insight
  • Ensure the development of a robust customer fact base with a clear focus on market intelligence, consumer trends, customer behaviours, regulatory environment etc
  • Regularly review the marketing strategy and operational plans in terms of progress of implementation and prepare appropriate reporting internally
  • Act as the lead on the use of market based consumer segmentation to support the identification of key design targets for the business to seize optimal and profitable growth opportunities
  • With commercial and marketing teams support the ongoing refinement and development of the product line strategy aligned to our segmentation to establish a framework for proposition development and innovation going forward
  • As required ensure full support is offered to commercial teams in the creation of new market strategies, products and positioning in the marketplace helping to drive this process through robust and powerful use of insight

Requirements:

  • Experience of building and implementing a marketing strategy in a B2C environment
  • Ideally B2C experience - financial services, tel cos, energy, consumer or even agency
  • Degree Qualified
  • Good stakeholder management skills
  • Relevant experience in social /digital marketing and communications
  • Very strong customer focus and good attention to detail
