Description

You will be a champion for the role of PR/Communications across the Group and will hold ultimate responsibility for the internal and external communications of the Group. You will also lead the program to raise awareness of the Group's key initiatives through the Corporate PR and in developing the consumer brand campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the public image of the company in the UK (crisis/issue management)
  • Execute/Lead PR plans to enhance awareness and understanding of the Group transformation in the UK media (digital transformation, cultural transformation, sustainability)
  • Developing meaningful relations with a range of key journalists and ensure a steady pipeline of press releases, articles, thought pieces and speaking engagements at trade, regional and national levels
  • Support and advise senior management with materials for press interviews, speaking engagements, press comments
  • Manage and work with the current PR agency to achieve these goals
  • Attend, plan and host (when needed) PR events
  • Oversee the internal communication manager to achieve the internal communications for the UK
  • To keep external and internal communication aligned

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience of working in public relations in agency and/ or in-house experience
  • Experience of developing, implementing and evaluating effective communication strategies
  • Verbal and written communication skills of the very highest standard
  • The ability to enthuse others with energy, initiative, creativity and imagination
  • Highly developed networking capabilities and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership abilities and ability to manage others (agencies, team members, stakeholders)
  • Ability to work on own initiative, excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task
