Superb hybrid M&BD role for prestigious global Real Estate practice.

This is a global Real Estate sector team of a top-tier and award-winning law firm. You will be responsible for helping partners to develop the group and sector's business: building relationships with existing and potential clients, managing its market profile and developing a sense of community within the group and sector to build strong and cohesive client teams.


  • Work on the group and sector's key client relationship and client targeting programmes
  • Plan and execute UK and International campaigns and report on results and ROI
  • Work closely with International partners in order to develop strategic business development and marketing plans, the infrastructure required to deliver these and help lead all supporting activity
  • Create and execute targeted marketing campaigns designed to raise profile and win new business in specific areas
  • Manage the production of client communications from concept through to distribution
  • Work closely with the digital marketing team to create and manage content for digital channels
  • Work with the Partners and RE team to manage relationships with the media and proactively seek out the most appropriate press coverage
  • Advise on pitch strategy, help prepare pitch documents, manage rehearsals for new business pitches and perform pitch debriefs
  • Provide lead Real Estate BD support and coordination for firmwide pitches managed by the firm's central pitch team
  • Provide insightful research on companies, industries and countries
  • Coordinate submissions to the main legal directories and awards
  • Identify and organise networking and profile raising opportunities for the lawyers with clients and prospects
  • Identify training needs for the lawyers on skills such as pitching and sales

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to exercise tact and diplomacy and to influence others
  • Display a consistently positive and proactive attitude and demonstrate a collaborative working style; operating both own as an individual and as part of a wider team
  • Deep knowledge of processes for professional services - a sound understanding of new business processes, digital marketing, CRM and the emerging technologies that will help win and retain legal work
  • Highly developed understanding of what should be the marketing and BD priorities for a leading international legal team
  • An exemplary professional approach and demonstrably high levels of commitment and internal client care
  • Excellent communication and project management skills. You will be expected to have strong probing, consultative listening skills coupled with the ability to negotiate and persuade legal and client personnel
  • High level of literacy in IT and marketing systems - Excel, Word and Outlook is essential; experience of InterAction / CRM and design software would be beneficial
