Description

Interim Global Marketing Director is required to further develop and execute the marketing strategy for this global IT consultancy.

The role of Marketing will be to raise awareness of the capability and value with key decision makers in target organisations and create a warm reception for business development efforts. This will rely on developing the right brand strategy, customer personas, thought leadership and content strategy, supported by digital marketing and offline communications material. The aim will be to develop enough points of influence for new customers and new stakeholders in existing clients to create a receptiveness to business development activities, and latterly a pull strategy for new customers.

In addition, it is important for the business to understand and measure the impact of its marketing initiatives. Being able to measure tactical initiatives and marketing channels will improve the output and efficiency of the marketing function going forward.

Picking up from the existing Marketing Director there is an opportunity to accelerate growth via the acquisition of new customers across a wide range of sectors.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Have strong B2B marketing credentials including extensive experience of marketing to large enterprises.
  • Have a broad church of experience across all of the marketing disciplines but will have particular strengths in brand marketing; content and thought leadership and the delivery of a measurable marketing machine.
  • Will be data and insight led. Will have experience of developing a clear customer strategy based on a comprehensive understanding of target personas. Will combine a strong appreciation of the quantitative and qualitative sides of marketing.
  • Ideally have experience in a high growth environment and will be adept at both setting and implementing strategy in a growing business.
  • Will demonstrate a strong focus on ROI and measurable marketing and a test and learn mentality against aspects of the marketing mix that are less directly measurable.
  • International experience ideally across India and the US

The successful candidate will be:

  • Have the personal gravitas to operate at C-level in some of the world's largest enterprises.
  • Intellectually strong, with a good academic track record.
  • They will be a strong communicator with outstanding writing and presentation abilities.
  • Will be intellectually curious, and will bring new perspectives gleaned ideally through a range of diverse experiences.
  • A creative thinker able to strategize but also get things done.
  • Ability to work on their own with limited additional staff; the team size is 7 people in India and 2 in UK.
  • Internationally minded.
