This is a unique opportunity to join a leading global payments provider, as the Interim Head of Content.

You will define and drive Group-wide thought leadership campaigns, with responsibility for the newly created Content Hub function.

Reporting to the VP of Corporate Communications and working from the London based office, the Head of Content will direct the Content Hub to deliver on its aim of amplifying the company's voice so it is respected, sought out and circulated within the global payments space. This requires a professional individual experienced in bringing market analysis and insight to life through creative, diverse and relevant commentary, with a track record in the delivery of omni-channel thought leadership campaigns

Sitting within the global corporate communications function, the Head of Content will work closely with marketing, creative and strategy teams. The successful candidate will need to establish and maintain an international network of contacts at every level of the business to generate a pipeline of valuable, authoritative, timely and relevant content.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Content Hub (3 x PR & content agencies, a pool of copywriters, internal resources) to develop editorial content strategies that capitalise on industry trends and milestones, amplify the Points of View, and support key product initiatives.
  • Maximise reach of Content Hub output in an omni-channel environment, ranging from native content placements to paid amplification to video and whitepaper programs, and the cross-channel content programme, including free media channels (SEO, Twitter, LinkedIn and G+)
  • Oversight of the new blog, including strategic planning to deliver blog engagement, social growth and profile amplification. Monitor and report on analytics to gauge success of content and refine strategy/ editorial calendars accordingly.
  • Development and execution of creative, fresh ideas to enhance positioning in the payments space, and to showcase the leading thinking and Points of View of the teams behind our payment processing, digital wallet and prepaid capabilities.
  • Editorial sign-off and tone of voice brand guardian, to ensure high standards are expected and maintained across all copy produced by the Content Hub (blogs, Point of View, White papers, Thought leadership, social, etc)
  • Brief asset needs to creative teams and work with design, graphics and copy teams to execute across platforms.
  • Work with the social and brand marketing teams to ensure content is integrated and optimised for traffic and conversion across both on and offline channels.
  • Ensure all content is relevant, authoritative, timely and engaging for our audiences, driving high levels of shareability and conversation.

Requirements

  • Experience in a newsroom or editorial role, with a minimum of 10 years proficiency in communications or editorial led roles, managing work flows, process, priorities and deadlines
  • Strong people and project management skills, including experience in managing PR and Content agencies to brief and budget
  • End to end campaign management
  • Ability to establish and maintain a network across senior executives, business unit, sales and product teams is essential.
  • Exceptional, accurate B2B writing and proof reading skills
  • Proactive, ideas focused, with the ability to work across multiple teams to bring strategies to live in an omni-channel environment
  • A degree in PR/Marketing/Journalism etc. or equivalent
