Highly successful, global FMCG Company are looking for a resourceful Content Planner to provide regular support to our editorial team (web and social) as they seek to develop their content strategy in London.

About the brand:

Digital communication is at the heart of this company's mission. They have started a wider refresh of their social media strategy need a content planner to engage with stakeholders and influencers across a variety of outlets. This will be a pivotal role to help them shape and deliver key messages.

About the role:

  • Reporting to the Head of social and Web editor and working closely with senior company executives you will organise daily, weekly and monthly diaries for the team for regular news-jacking meetings, events and campaigns.
  • You will help website and social content producers to identify relevant and timely story opportunities.
  • There will also be ad hoc project work and story research to assist writers and social.
  • You will create relevant and timely content for publication and amplification across corporate channels (website and social).
  • You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to discover and design news-jacking opportunities and develop constructive conversation with influencers and the public at large around campaigns.
  • You will work with local markets as well as global web, video and wider comms teams to collaborate on content creation opportunities.
  • You will create content to support all online messaging with particular focus on planned events and campaigns.
  • You will spread internal knowledge of value and impact of creative content to broaden and strengthen brand and reach.

About you:

  • 2+ years' experience working within a large media or publishing company, or similar, preferably in a regulated sector.
  • You will have digital news media experience and a good judgment and ability to spot relevant opportunities for news-jacking.
  • You will have a willingness to work collaboratively with a number of senior stakeholders working across different locations and time-zones.
  • You have the ability to handle multiple projects, working in a fast-changing environment.
  • You also have the ability to think laterally, and find creative solutions from seemingly impossible tasks.
  • You will also have a willingness to travel and work out of hours when and where necessary.
