I have a new opportunity for an Internal Communications Manager to join an award winning Corporate Communications team, based in London.
Reporting to the Head of, this role offers a real opportunity to make a difference by raising the level and profile of internal communications, leading the development of a new internal communications strategy, advising the senior management team, and engaging colleagues at all levels.
You will spend most of your time:
- Developing and delivering an internal communications strategy that drives collaboration and knowledge-sharing across all offices including their overseas network
- Advising the Executive and HR team on their internal communications agenda including key messages, tone of voice and channels
- Raising the profile of and buy-in for internal communications
- Producing, editing or reviewing all regular approved communications including emails, intranet content, presentations and digital signage. Managing the internal comms planner
- Owning the intranet, and making the content more relevant and easier to access. Working with HR and IT colleagues to drive forward processes and technologies that support join-up and information sharing
- Monitoring and managing two-way communications including focus groups, blogs and employee surveys, ensuring feedback is correctly channelled and followed up
- Providing best practice guidance on all internal communications activities, including working with colleagues to develop internal communications plans for Corporation initiatives, and producing and maintaining guidelines
- Running employee engagement events such as employee forums, awards and networking events
- Being part of the crisis communications team in the event of a major incident
In order to be successful for this role, you will need to have thorough experience within an internal communications role, ideally for a global organisation. You will also have experience in liaising with senior execs, developing and implementing communications initiatives and ideas. You will also be available at short notice/immediately to take up this contract position.
