Are you a Head of Media Relations with experience in financial services or fintech, an excellent black book of media contacts and used to working in small, agile teams?
EMR are working exclusively with one of the world's leading trading platforms to recruit a Head of Media Relations who will work directly with the C-Suite to develop proactive and reactive communications campaigns.
Your key skills and responsibilities will include:
- In collaboration with the Head of Global Communications, you will develop and implement measurable PR and media plans and programs that support the business' strategic goals and priorities.
- Act as the trusted media advisor to the C-suite including the CEO and senior leadership team - lead their engagement in a way that enhances the brand, drives awareness and celebrates the organisation's strategic successes.
- Take the lead on running the press office, including drafting press releases, business updates and other collateral to engage media and other external stakeholders.
- Act as a chief spokesperson for the business, experienced in crisis comms and able to confidently manage day to day press queries.
- Manage the news flow across the business, and in line with the strategic global comms plan.
- Work closely with the Senior Executives and Country Heads to support their local media engagement ensuring globally consistent and locally relevant content.
- Increase the company's share of voice on Global Markets topics and themes in global media as well as on social media.
- Will be expert at reporting and benchmarking global media coverage - including using platforms such as Cision to provide timely media monitoring and engagement reports that include robust metrics.
- Working closely with ESG and Marketing leads - develop impactful PR and earned media campaigns, social programs and ideas that are provocative, shape the dialogue and drive brand favourability.
- Provide expert counsel to Marketing leads to ensure paid and social media complements the broader communications strategy.
- Write, commission, edit or review blogs, op-eds, announcements, social media posts, etc; identify media opportunities; create measurement reports as needed.
- You will be able to devise and implement coordinated campaigns across traditional media, social media and devise appropriate internal comms supporting collateral where required.
