Trade Marketing Manager

Basildon, Essex - Hybrid - 3 days per week in office

Up to £60,000

I am working exclusively with a global leader in sustainable and energy-conscious products who has a legacy of over 60 years in the market. Their mission is to provide every corner of the world with high-quality domestic heating and hot water solutions, whilst protecting the environment.

They are looking for a detail-oriented, ambitious and driven Trade Marketing Specialist to join the team. Collaborating across all departments in the UK team, as well as working closely with the central European Marketing team. You will play a pivotal role in preserving the brand's integrity, implementing effective sales promotion strategies, managing product launches, and nurturing customer relationships through CRM and Loyalty Programs. As Trade Marketing Manager, you will be a vital asset to the organization during a period of exciting growth and transformation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop the Annual Trade Marketing Plan by sales channel.
  • Drive sales promotions campaigns. Collaborating with sales managers across different levels.
  • Manage joint customer marketing plans within allocated budgets and sales targets.
  • Analyse data and monitor competitor, consumer and market trends to identify opportunities in the market.
  • Use lead generation tools to help create targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Promote and boost sales through the planning and coordination of different trade marketing initiatives to key trade audiences.
  • Collaborate and support other teams on key marketing projects and developments.

Other responsibilities include:

Relationship management (CRM/Loyalty)

  • Ownership of marketing data and information. Managing all lead generation data from campaigns and driving high quality MQLs.
  • Support the launch of a new loyalty program.
  • Ensure data consistency in the CRM system.

Product marketing:

  • Promote the brand and products to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create marketing materials to be used both internally and externally for product promotion and training.
  • Work with the wider product team to define and implement trade marketing materials, and manage all content on trade marketing platforms.

As Trade Marketing Manager, you will also be responsible for supporting on various administrative tasks, including managing the marketing & info inbox, producing presentations for various needs including events, pitches, meetings. You will also manage exhibitions targeting both consumer and B2B audiences.

Desired skills:

  • Proven working experience within the renewable energy manufacturing industry.
  • Versatile Marketer: Be hands-on, open to learning, and apply creativity with a focus on the 4Ps mix (Price, Place, Product, Promotion). B2B and Trade Marketing experience is desirable.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in marketing is desirable.
  • Attention to Detail: Possess excellent attention to detail and a high level of numeracy.
  • Proactive Leadership: Demonstrate a proactive, motivating, and initiative-driven approach, capable of inspiring a team, with the ability to influence at all levels of seniority,
  • Tech-savvy and Influential: Possess strong IT skills and systems knowledge, including MS Office.
  • Business-Savvy and Adaptable: Exhibit strong business acumen, a can-do attitude, and the ability to work in a flexible, cross-functional, and travel-friendly environment.
