I am working with a very well-known charity, who are looking for Head of Internal Communications and Engagement for a 12 month fixed term contract. This instrumental role, reporting directly into the Director of Communications, will oversee the internal communications and stakeholder engagement from the strategy standpoint. It will suit an exceptional communications leader, with wealth of experience in leading large internal communication function, stakeholder engagement, and track record of managing complex change communications.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and lead the delivery of employee engagement and strategy across all internal audiences
  • Influence senior leaders and build relationship across the organisations
  • Become an active member of the board, leading a large scale change programme
  • Constantly evolve communications and engagement channels though insight and evaluation
  • Ensuring the employees, managers and leaders understand the value of internal engagement
  • Full responsibility of developing the corporate narrative
  • Working closely with the Head of Media to lead internal communications response to any crisis/ risk issues
  • Embowering leadership of the team of 21, building a successful and committed team
  • Represent internal communications in relevant governance groups
  • Oversee business communications activities, including elements of marketing and media

Requirements:

  • Significant, 10 + years' experience in leading a large Internal communications and stakeholder engagement
  • Proven track record of managing significant change communications
  • Experience of strategic leadership within a large organisation
  • Experience in providing advice to senior leadership team
  • Experience in budget management
  • Excellent communicator, leading in a collaborate, authentic and compassionate way
