Head of Design - On & Offline

Responsibilities:
- Develop and be accountable for online and offline design output and commercial success of the design and creative department.
- Leading the end-to-end development of copy, creative and design outputs that meet the business objectives
- Establishing the team as the strategic and creative authority on aesthetic, tone and messaging across all platforms, brands and channels
Championing the Group's branding requirements across the Business
Leading the requirement gathering from stakeholders - Evolve and manage the visual branding for both b2c and b2b customer bases
- Design mobile experiences for our customers including mobile sites and apps
- Translate the brand into print and digital marketing experiences and campaigns
- Work closely with talented in-house front-end developers to produce delightful user experiences across devices
- Work with third party suppliers to bring our digital platforms to life
- Produce conversion-focused designs based on experience and best practice
- Run tests in collaboration with team to optimise conversion and improve marketing performance
- Design stunning bespoke creative to support marketing campaigns
- Achieve cut through on social by integrating eye catching bespoke imagery into content calendar
- Offline activity including print ads, industry reports, flyers etc.
- Support the broader team with ad hoc projects depending on team workload and priorities
Requirements:
- Previous work experience in a Senior Designer or Head of role
Strong knowledge of online and offline design, brand development and the creative process - Strong portfolio demonstrating creative and technical design talent
- A master of Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience of creating illustrations as brand elements and for use across mediums
- Experience of working with WordPress or similar CMS
- Demonstrable experience in developing high impact offline / print design
- Excellent technical understanding of design and UX principles
- Comfortable designing mobile experiences
- Ability to manage projects and own workload
- Stays on top of the latest design trends
- Pixel-perfect attention to detail
- Proactive, entrepreneurial self-starter comfortable with autonomy
- Confidence in applying initiative and demonstrating a solution orientated approach when resolving problems e.g. suggests creative alternatives when something isn't working
- Confidence when working directly with Senior Management / CEO level client
- UK experience essential
