A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Head of Channel Marketing who is ready for a new challenge. Our client who is one of the world's leading providers of professional services for engineering and technology industry is looking for a Head of Channel Marketing to join their well- established marketing team.
Reporting into the Marketing Director the head of channel marketing is responsible for leading the team that plans and executes integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns that offer the right products and propositions to the right customers through the right channel at the right time. The role is also responsible for reviewing, supporting and aligning regional marketing strategies across the six areas of operation (UK & Ireland, North Europe, South Europe, Americas, North Asia, and South Asia and the Middle East), and providing virtual management support for the marketing teams in each of these areas. This requires a deep understanding of changing/differing priorities depending on territories/cultures/client bases.
Your Role
- Lead, coach and develop the global channel marketing team, and ensure high quality execution of marketing activity
- Oversee the annual marketing planning cycle and provide regular updates and reporting to key stakeholders
- Establish reporting models, consolidate all current reporting, set benchmarks, model campaign targets and communicate reporting with sales and other functional leaders
- Working with the Group marketing team, oversee an agency re-tender process and manage strategic relationship with creative partners, ensuring high quality outputs and value for money
- Work closely with the global marketing team and other functions within the business to gather product and customer insights required to feed the channel marketing strategy
- Establish and execute a customer lifecycle marketing strategy, selecting the right channels and messages at all touch points and revitalising customer communications approach with high quality targeted content
- Maintain marketing best practice; establish operational models and processes that optimise team performance and achieve its business objectives
- Build and manage a virtual team of area marketers; help define roles/priorities with their direct line managers; oversee professional development and coaching opportunities for central and area marketers
- Deliver an integrated go to market approach, aligning central and regional campaign plans with strategic themes and using a blend of marketing channels
- Implement channel campaigns and deliver content marketing strategies that helps to expand market share and pursue aggressive growth targets
Your Profile
- Proven experience in leading marketing teams and managing budgets
- People management and strategic planning experience are both essential
- Strong, proven commercial awareness and the ability to develop and execute marketing strategies
- Ability to combine strategic thinking/ planning with day to day execution and reporting
- Outstanding communications skills, demonstrating a diplomatic and collaborative approach
- Track record of building relationships, with the ability to pro-actively drive development of a network of key relationships internally and externally
- Outstanding leadership and motivational skills
