Events Marketing Manager

The ideal candidate should have proven experience in event campaign management for large, complex events, including digital knowledge and working with external agencies.

You will project manage and sign-off marketing plans and results-driven marketing campaigns across the Infrastructure Investor Global Summit.

The role covers all aspects of end-to-end campaign management including email; website; digital marketing; analysis; data selections, targeting and build; copywriting; social media and direct mail production.

You should be a confident individual able to work and communicate with senior stakeholders as this will be a core part of your role.

You

You will need to be a self-starter and be able to hit the ground running. You will need to build an understanding of our business, markets and customers, as well as our internal systems and processes. You will need to be a confident marketer who has worked with large scale paid events and looking for the next step in your career.

The ideal candidate will have at least four year's experience in a similar role, strong copywriting skills, experience, and a track record of planning and executing results-driven marketing campaigns. You should also have experience working with or managing agencies.

Working knowledge of project management software, CMS Systems, HTML, CRM systems and email campaign systems will be beneficial.

Key responsibilities

Project management

  • Ensure all planned marketing activity is being completed to deadline and to a high quality
  • Clearly communicate marketing activity, deadlines and results with the rest of the project team
  • Managing event budget, making sure the budget tracker is up to date
  • Attend regular meetings to update project team on upcoming activity and progress

Stakeholder management

  • Act as liaison between the in-house teams and an external agency to ensure handovers are completed
  • Work closely with producers and senior management to get the best result for the event
  • Ensure that the sales teams have all the necessary collateral

Delegate acquisition

  • Identify key target audiences and ensure messaging in all marketing materials is benefit led and speaks to these audiences
  • Track key customer segments to ensure the right attendee mix onsite


Reporting & analysis

  • Monitor weekly reports from the marketing agency to identify potential opportunities or areas for concern
  • Undertake analysis of all marketing campaigns and use insight to drive future campaigns

Product & markets

  • Gain an understanding of who key customers are and what they are looking for
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest market developments to better communicate with the audience

General

  • Copywriting and proofreading of marketing collateral - invites, brochures, emails, website
  • Onsite support at events
  • Liaise with suppliers including printers and designers

Accountabilities and responsibilities

Project management of the Infrastructure Investor Global Summit to ensure all marketing activity is completed to a high standard and to deadline.

Hitting event delegate targets

Maintain close and positive working relationships with internal stakeholders.
