Space Planning Branch Design Manager

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for site visits, customer journey planning, layout development and the delivery of an optimal plan for that site. Liaison with the operator to influence and ensure buy in and engagement
- Briefing of designer to deliver detailed drawings to support the layout plans. Sharing and discussion of layout with the property team and/ or contractor as required
- Visit and sign off of branch post opening to identify any design/ layout issues
- Works with operator and shop fitters to adapt plans if required to support business requirements whilst ensuring a consistent and excellent overall in-store customer experience and delivery of our brand
- Ensures the brand is appropriately represented and a consistent brand experience delivered through all outlets
- Working cross-functionally, with property and field teams to deliver designs within the overall program
- Ensure that roll out programs designs are delivered on time and on budget
Requirements:
- Design and layout planning professional with a track record of delivering store by store layouts in Retail / store design
- Strong broad retail/ commercial understanding and a deep understanding of how customers shop in physical retail space
- A clear understanding and experience of managing Retail Design within Franchise operations
- Proven ability deliver clear standards across a variety of store formats
- Strong customer orientation, and understanding of customer behaviour in store
- Highly resilient, able to work under pressure whilst maintaining standards
- Able to deal with ambiguity, and diverse operator types. Strong influencing style. Able to work with a variety of retail partners and channels, including multiple retailers and independents
- Focus on continual improvement. Able to identify process development and respond to/ drive change
- Educated to degree standard or equivalent
- Solid managerial experience in Retail Design
- Desirable: Photo shop, Microsoft office suite
- UK experience is essential
