Additional Responsibilities will include:-
- Responsible for the development and delivery of annual plans for the Brand and Communications division
- Ensure that where the Brand and Communications divisions are dependent on other areas of the organisation to deliver their objectives, that resource is suitably accounted for in external teams' annual plans; and that there is regular monitoring to identify and support the effective management of risks or issues that could impact on the strategic objectives of the Brand and Communications divisions
- Work with the Planning & Performance team to establish an agile dependency planning process that enables delivery teams in the Brand & Communications divisions to prioritise the briefs they receive against established criteria and to ensure that they are working on briefs that directly support the company's strategic objectives
- Provide support to the leadership teams of both the Communications & Brand teams through planning and running monthly leadership team meetings
- Ensure that all projects delivered have maximum impact and that they use resources effectively working to budget
- Own and manage relationships with planning functions to determine high-level priorities, and will work with operational leads to ensure these are translated into a pipeline of activity
- Provide oversight and report on the status of key strategic projects within the Brand & Communications divisions, supporting Heads/team leads to clarify the dimensions and strategic benefit of each project. Manage processes that bring together project leads across the Brand & Communications Divisions to share and report on the progress of projects, to make connections between projects across the division(s), identifying overlaps, duplications, or opportunities for collaboration
- Continuously monitor the effectiveness of planning and prioritisation processes, using feedback from stakeholders and internal colleagues, to adapt and improve ways of working for the Brand & Communications divisions, and for the organisation. Work closely with the central Planning, Performance & Change department to help continually improve the organisational approach to planning
