Product Owner - Customer

Job Summary and Mission 

We have an immediate need for a Guest Experience Product Owner/Manager to help lead and innovate our guest experience, by building and managing a world class digital customer platform. As product owner you will be responsible for developing and managing digital marketing and technology platforms. This role drives increased consideration for our brand through a variety of digital platforms and manages customer loyalty's growing investment in technology to provide optimal customer engagement and personalization. This role is part strategy, part creative, part developer, and part analytical. The successful candidate will orchestrate all of the technologies that affect the customer loyalty and make sure customer loyalty and marketing teams know how to use and optimize each platform to the fullest potential.

In addition to driving value through customer digital technology the ideal candidate must be well versed in traditional marketing strategy and execution. Demonstrated understanding of marketing principles with the ability to plan, create and execute marketing programs to support the growth of customer relationships and loyalty; and use technology to enable these strategies, driving increased engagements.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Serve as a champion for the digital point-of-view in planning and effectively communicate to senior leadership the opportunities and risks associated with new digital advertising techniques, new media platforms and digital personalization. As needed, this role should build business cases for changes and adjustments to the digital strategy to accommodate the ever evolving digital landscape.

Liaise between the IT, Marketing, and Product Groups to analyze and define appropriate opportunities to align customer loyalty strategy with digital customer technology to enhance demand generation and customer experience initiatives.

Supervise, support and manage project teams in the implementation of our digital user experience across technologies and strategies.

Work with key stakeholders to drive the successful implementation and adoption of the digital marketing and customer engagement platforms.

Ensure digital platforms are strategized, planned and executed from a holistic perspective - i.e., reporting and analytics, the digital ecosystem and digital architecture requirements, messaging and branding, and all technical, integration and database considerations.

Proactively stay abreast and knowledgeable on new and emerging marketing technologies, trends and applications. Understanding how they may fit with strategic marketing priorities and capabilities for future consideration.

Qualifications

Summary of Experience

Guest Experience Product Owner/Manager is a critical role and represents a key strategic focus, as such this position will be on the forefront of enabling our digital customer engagement strategy.

Minimum 5 years professional experience in Advertising, CRM, Loyalty and Digital Marketing, with a focus on customer loyalty enablement and demand generation.

6 + years' experience leading a high-performance marketing and development teams.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Knowledge in change management, strategy development, marketing planning, demand generation strategy development, and software development or IT analyst experience.

Working knowledge of Digital Marketing, Campaign Management, CRM, or Engagement Platforms and Technology. Knowledge of functions and benefits of technologies and how each technology would map to the customer journey. Demonstrated strong understanding and experience with social media tools and strategies which have delivered proven results.

Deep understanding of B2C marketing best practices, customer engagement concepts, and digital experiences.

Expertise in inbound and outbound marketing principles and a strong understanding of creating and implementing a marketing strategy that fuels customer engagement growth.

Ability to effectively collaborate across reporting lines and impact business beyond your own department, including IT and Product Development.

Data driven, results oriented and able to deliver consistently strong measurable results.

Proven success working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Able to build and lead a world-class digital customer technology team. At the same time, must be willing and eager to work in a hands-on capacity.

Demonstrated strong project management experience including ability to independently prioritize and track complex, competing schedules, and large IT implementations.

Drive business value

Write, refine, and prioritize features and user stories for ongoing guest engagement, data analysis and CDP platform ownership

Responsible for maximizing return on investment

Represents stakeholder interests

Responsible for product vision, release, and sprint goals

Collaborate with team to identify 'early and continuous delivery of valuable software'

Decide when to deploy to production and when the project is done

Final arbiter of requirements questions

Accepts or rejects each user story/product increment based on defined acceptance criteria

Provide leadership, vision, and inspiration
