Internal Communications Specialist

£40000 - £45000 per annum

This is an initial 12-month maternity cover contract, with a strong likelihood of becoming permanent thereafter. You will cover internal communications, corporate communications and engagement. As part of a small function, the role will be very varied and will cover larger scale projects and day to day administration requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver tailored employee communications to include conducting research and liaising with the relevant stakeholders to collate and draft content for
  • Ensuring activities are integrated and coordinated with our corporate internal communications strategy and
  • Ensuring executive and internal communications messages are consistent across all businesses areas.
  • Major change and transformation project
  • Edit and publish the newsletter every quarter. This will involve collating information from all areas of the business in order to produce creative, engaging and balanced content, whilst maintaining a consistent
  • Coordination of content, promotion and logistics for internal employee events including Town Hall meetings, CSR events, social
  • Working closely with the Global Internal Communications team and the IT project lead, manage the content and roll out of the new global intranet
  • Supporting external communications by working with the PR lead, external PR agency and the marketing team to research content as necessary, align with internal messages and assist in the internal approvals and distribution process.

Key skills and experience:

  • Expert written and verbal communication skills, particularly in clearly communicating the vision and key messages of
  • Evidence of delivering an internal communications plan to high standards across varied channels, audiences and
  • Working with senior leaders to draft communications on their
  • Experience at managing conflicting requests and priorities, as well as setting and delivering to realistic
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving, with the ability to translate ideas into actions and
  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate with and deliver to wide range of stakeholders.
  • Self motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a geographically diverse
  • Ideally minimum 5 years' experience and a degree
  • Experience in the insurance industry preferred
