Internal Communications Manager

Working within a team responsible for all internal and external communications activity within the UK, the Internal Communications Manager will be responsible for managing internal communications, ensuring information is delivered to, or can be readily accessed by those who require it, in a clear, timely and targeted manner.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Implementation of the internal communication's strategy with support from the CCO
- Ensuring that internal information is successfully communicated to internal colleagues using the appropriate internal communications channels and the style and tone appropriate for different internal audiences
- Influencing and managing relationships with different audiences within the Bank
- Planning, editing and writing content for a variety of internal communications mediums, such as a staff intranet and monthly staff newsletters
- Supporting the creation and maintenance of internal presentation materials, working alongside the corporate communications team
- Developing and managing employee engagement strategy communications in the Bank along with Human Resources, ensuring internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the organisation
- Ensuring internal communication messages are consistent with external communication messages
- Responding to feedback from staff and adjusting communications content accordingly
- The upkeep and update of the intranet, ensuring content owners follow correct procedures and guiding on best practice
Required Experience:
- Track record of delivering high quality employee communications and engagement activity
- Excellent writing and verbal skills to deliver complex material in a clear and compelling way to diverse internal stakeholders
- Confident in managing a range of internal stakeholders being cooperative and flexible but equipped to challenge where necessary, and always working within strong decentralised principles
- Understanding of employee communications best practice and techniques (including channels, narratives and production) and ability to convert this knowledge to practical application
