Internal Communications Executive

You will support the Senior European PR Manager with the development and execution of an engaging and measurable internal communications plan, and provide support to the external PR team. Your role will include writing, researching and seeking out news stories for internal communications that raise employee awareness of the business goals, brand and vision.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage the activity plan for internal communications and ensure all external content is repurposed for internal communications.
  • Manage and evolve the company's strong platform of digital and face to face channels to communicate effectively with employees.
  • Ensure the business strategy and mid-term plan are understood and deployed to all EMEA. Create and disseminate communication materials that promote and explain the company's vision, business strategy and brand identity.
  • Develop and manage an effective process that will gather news from employees, sales teams etc. about business activity, products, services, new clients, that can be used in internal and external communications.
  • Manage the internal Magazine - from writing and collating articles through to managing the agency on its design and production.
  • Support the Senior Corporate Communication Manager in creating and deploying internal senior management blogs.
  • Participate in drafting and developing tools and Q&A's to communicate confidential corporate activity and organisational change. Provide communications support during any crisis situations.
  • Ensure the implementation of metrics to measure ROI and review the effectiveness of existing communication channels and activities.
  • Work closely with HR, CSR and learning and development on a range of projects which include the annual employee engagement survey, new employee inductions, organisational changes etc.
  • Manage in-house employee briefings for senior executives: Includes: organising times and locations, arranging and overseeing the creation of video material and drafting speaking materials for Executives.

Experience / Skills Required:

  • Degree holder with proven experience in a dedicated communications role - e.g. corporate communications, public relations or internal communications.
  • An excellent grasp of English and proven experience in developing targeted written communication deliverables, such as employee magazines, intranet content, e-zines, blogs, speeches, press releases etc.
  • Ability to write concise and focused copy, articles and speeches for Senior Management in appropriate tone of voice.
  • Business acumen to communicate and translate business strategies and complex messages into memorable ones.
  • Creative and inquisitive with excellent listening skills that can be applied to developing targeted communications materials for internal and external use.
  • Energetic and positive team player with ability to build relationships across the business.
  • Experience of briefing and managing external suppliers.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, assess and prioritise workload and deliver on deadline.
  • Excellent understanding of digital platforms and know-how to create internal campaigns with impact for EMEA audiences in time constrained environments.
  • Proven experience in setting up metrics that enable increased understanding of the impact of communication activity.
  • Solid experience of creating content for digital platforms - such as internet, intranet, extranet and managed via third party suppliers.
  • Ability to manage budget for function and individual projects.
