Are you a Content Director with experience building teams and producing viral content and creative campaigns around the world for large companies?

EMR are working exclusively with Barilla, the world's largest pasta producer, to hire a Global Newsroom, Content and Social Director for their new marketing communications hub in London.

They are the brand behind the 2020 lockdown Rooftop Tennis Match with 22 million views on YouTube, and the recent 'Playlist Timer'.

You will be responsible for managing and building a world class content team, and working with some of the highest-profile stars from across sport and food to generate brand engagement across social media, press and digital channels.

As Global Content and Campaigns Director, based in a brand new office in Farringdon with lots of flexible working, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Define and roll out a global content, newsroom and social strategy and editorial plan for multiple brands in collaboration with the wider marketing team
  • Develop and improve existing content channels, including but not limited to: social media, internal news channels, video, advertising etc.
  • Monitor media coverage and social media engagement to refine and develop future campaigns
  • Supervise the execution and production of content and campaigns produced by your team and external agencies
  • Manage the content publishing calendar and monitor the results to improve future calendars and campaigns
  • Oversee and coordinate relationships with external agencies and ambassador talent, facilitating collaboration throughout the content and campaigns production cycle
  • Define and share guidelines needed to properly structure the digital front-end development (e.g. global website UI)
  • Develop global brand social media strategy, optimizing the response to changing consumer demands
  • Manage media budget allocations and oversee paid advertising spend
  • Oversee community management at a global level

If this sounds of interest, your key skills and experience will include:

  • Global content, editorial and social experience within a large, global organisation
  • Experience building and leading content teams, with the ability to introduce fresh ideas and take colleagues along with you
  • Experience of creating impactful campaigns, think innovative PR stunts and content marketing campaigns
  • Experience using and launching a variety of engagement channels including social media, video, press launches etc.
  • Experience working with or at large consumer or FMCG advertising and PR agencies
