Working for a global FTSE Professional services firm, you will be joining a rapidly growing data function.
This growth is due to a large investment into the data team and will see you working with a newly appointed CDO and reporting into the Head of Data Excellence.
This role would be prefect for someone early on in their privacy career, they can offer professional training and development.
Purpose of the role:
Reporting into the Head of Data Excellence, you will assist in creating the operation controls and metrics to ensure the business maintains compliance with data privacy standards including GDPR and other local information governance legislation and regulation working with the nominated Data Protection Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting and promoting compliance with data privacy legislation and best practice
- Supporting the delivery of UK and international strategic data protection initiatives
- Engaging with business and project teams to advise on privacy controls (including the completion of data privacy impact assessments) and mitigation of risks.
- Conducting root cause analysis in relation to personal data breaches and identifying remedial actions
- Responding to data compliance related questionnaires and queries from vendors, and clients.
- Maintaining Privacy inventory within OneTrust, including Breach Incidents, personal data mapping etc.
- Coordinating our response to data subject rights requests (DSARs, Right to be forgotten, etc..)
- Reporting key risks and mitigating controls into the Risk framework.
- Maintaining compliance through continuous training, periodic audits, external reviews and assessments, and carry out ongoing improvements
About you:
- Previous experience within the Data Protection / Privacy field in a global organisation
- Strong communicator, excellent time management and detail orientated attributes
- Proactive approach with a desire to deliver results
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal / external stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of and experience in dealing with GDPR and UK Data Protection Act 2018 related matters
