An online supplier of Building Materials is looking for a Customer Experience Director to join the senior leadership team. The role will require 2 days a week spent at the Headquarters in Plymouth.

This role is instrumental in leading on the strategic definition and delivery of a seamless customer experience across all touchpoints and all stages of the customer journey. You will be responsible for defining the drive from awareness through to advocacy and for optimising all elements of the sales funnel.

Key objectives of the role:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the customer
  • Identify opportunities and optimize the customer journey
  • Put in place suitable success metrics for acquisition, conversion and retention strategies
  • Develop and maintain a coherent brand strategy/ grow brand awareness
  • Develop and execute a communications strategy
  • Drive new marketing opportunities through technology, efficiency drivers and overhead initiatives.

Skills & requirements:

  • Strategic vision, encompassing overall marketing direction and digital transformation
  • Being passionate about understanding the customer/optimizing the customer experience
  • Omnichannel customer journey experience gained in a multicategory business
  • Building products industry experience an advantage.
