A world-leading, highly reputable, transportation company are looking for a passionate and competent communications officer to assist with the ever growing expansion in North London.

Owning a quarter of their market, assisting 1 million users each day and a team of over 6000 staff, this company operates on a massive scale are now encountering an exciting digital transformation, paving the way for someone who is enthusiastic about joining a revolution.

You will work alongside the Communications Manager; assisting, spearheading and directing many creative and innovative projects, events, internal/external communication material and newly launched app platform. Ideally you will have experience with dealing with press and an understanding of how to integrate digital practices with traditional marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To liaise with the Communications Manager and other areas of the business to research and develop information and copy that can be used in various communication channels (Internal magazine, newsletters, website, social media content, app)
  • Research and prepare copy for publication, including supporting photography and design where appropriate
  • Create and input of content onto website
  • Liaise with internal departments to maintain up-to-date content and ensure a level of personalization, whilst ensuring consistent corporate branding and key messages
  • Maintain and administer databases, including comms, collateral, report submissions, awards nominations, press contacts;
  • Co-ordinate the distribution of press releases
  • To assist in the coordination and administration of events including launches, long service awards, forums and CSR building activities.
  • To liaise and build relations with external parties and relevant media, and monitor relevant media platforms
  • To provide administrative support to the Communications function.

Experience and Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience in marketing, communications or PR role
  • Enjoy working in a team environment and on own initiative
  • Demonstrable experience in design and social media (desirable)
  • Copywriting and editing skills (desirable)
  • Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to communicate clearly and at all levels;
  • Ability to work well and thrive under pressure
