An AIM-listed corporate FX and global payments specialist is looking for a Communications Manager to join the business in London.

Following a successful listing in 2017, the company have a market cap of over £600 million. They are now looking for someone to take ownership of a newly created Communications role within the Institutional division of the business.

Working with high levels of autonomy, the successful candidate will be responsible for executing a Communications programme (including PR, media relations, thought-leadership etc.) from end-to-end to build the company's reputation as a trusted and leading innovator within the Alternative Investment space.

Having demonstrated the ability to execute a successful and engaging communications programme singlehandedly, the candidate will, in time, scale the function to encompass the wider Group and ensure the communication strategy delivers on the growing needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Head of Brand & Marketing and divisional MDs to develop an integrated communications roadmap.
  • Shape and create engaging and commercial content-focused PR campaigns across various external channels, liaising with in-house experts, key clients, news editors, and business partners where necessary.
  • Develop and deliver an integrated thought leadership strategy, writing engaging content and managing its distribution across key channels.
  • Build and maintain the communications calendar to ensure regular and timely delivery of communications
  • Help to build an award-winning company reputation by identifying key awards, drafting entries, and promoting success.
  • Write and manage PR to generate positive coverage across a core list of target publications. This will include drafting press releases, building relationships with key media and industry contacts, and building stories around industry trends and company announcements.
  • Track, measure and analyse communications campaigns, presenting results to the Senior Management team to evidence success
  • Prepare internal communications for a variety of channels to ensure everyone is bought into the company culture and purpose and aligned with their journey
  • Providing ad-hoc copywriting support on special projects and high-value proposals as needed

Key Skills and Experience required:

  • 3-5 years experience in Communications, Content Marketing or Public Relations
  • Previous experience working within the Alternative Investment industry is desirable
  • The ability to facilitate conversations and ask questions that uncover unique perspectives and insights from subject matter experts
  • Proven media contacts and experience gaining PR coverage
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills
  • Solid grasp of content marketing
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to provide content and comms counsel to senior leaders
