As the Communications Manager, you will provide support in the areas of PR, Social Media and Internal Communications and will be responsible for defining and delivering the internal communications plan and strategy. You will support the external communications activities, and liaise with the PR agencies and the Corporate Communications team. You will work with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure the monthly newsletter, intranet, events and other mechanisms are efficiently coordinated and delivered.
You will need to have experience of, and be comfortable, working across a broad range of communications, including PR, internal communications, social media and digital and employee communications.
Key responsibilities of the position:
- Work closely with the Senior PR and Social Media Manager, the wider Marketing Communications Team, and Corporate Communications and Digital teams to develop compelling integrated communications campaigns that meet key objectives.
- Liaise with a global network of PR agencies to ensure integrated communications plans are successfully developed and delivered, with results collated and reported to internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with journalists at target media across all platforms, including print, online and broadcast, to ensure they are educated and up-to-speed with key developments.
- Provide PR, Social Media and Internal Communications support at key events, including external trade shows, exhibitions and conferences, as well as company organised events.
- Work with key internal stakeholders to define and deliver a high-quality internal communications plan aimed at a fast-growing global workforce in a highly competitive market.
- Safeguard the integrity of the brand and corporate identity across all communications platforms.
- Become a vital communications knowledge source for colleagues.
Essential knowledge and skills:
- Communications professional with 4-5 years of experience in areas relevant to PR, Social Media and Internal Communications.
- Demonstrable entrepreneurial spirit, thriving on ambiguity and happy operating in a demanding, fast paced "start-up" environment.
- Fast moving, quick thinking.
- Delivery focus and project management experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with collaborative working style.
- Solid experience of working with external agencies and suppliers.
- Experience in supporting tradeshows and seminars.
