£175 - £194 per day + limited company rate

Are you a Social Media Specialist with experience in communications, analysis and publishing high quality content? Are you available immediately for a three month rolling contract?

About you

You will be experienced in social media across LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, YouTube and Flickr. You will have really strong writing skills and a good understanding of highly regulated environments. You will be comfortable working with Photoshop and Yammer and be used to monitoring and reporting on performance regularly. You will be comfortable working under pressure and be able to respond to urgent requirements and crisis management as and when required.

You will be positive, dedicated and supportive, reliable and conscientious and bring a consistently high standard to your work.

About the role

  • Participate in the development of the social editorial calendar and activation brainstorming as requested and proactively bring forward content ideas and trending information.
  • Draft copy and coordinate appropriate approvals for written and visual assets and post to appropriate social media platforms.
  • Actively pursue business content and stories; work collaboratively with regional Social Media tags and stakeholders in the Group Content and Digital Publishing teams plus stakeholders throughout the organization to gather accurate information to create messaging to support company initiatives.
  • On occasion coordinate development of original graphics, videos and photography for social media content.
  • Ensure that content is aligned with the company's values, objectives and initiatives.
  • Monitor social media on a regular basis and immediately elevate and make recommendations for addressing potential issues.
  • Gather information and develop fact-based responses to inquires within social.
  • Respond to audience with a sense of urgency while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
  • Prepare and maintain standard responses for recurring topics.
  • Collect and analyze data to understand and improve content performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Follow editorial, brand, and web style, standards and formats.
  • Engage in a variety of special projects, as needed.
  • Establish and maintains liaison roles with other communications professionals and departments to leverage and align messaging, including working collaboratively with the Press Team and the Campaign Planning Team.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments and trends in the field of digital/social media and content marketing.
  • Be prepared to manage crisis communications.
