Description

Reporting to the Manager of Communications, you will develop and implement a media relations program to raise the public profile of the company across national and regional TV, Radio and newspapers in the UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate media coverage by drafting pro-active media releases, case studies, Q&A and reactive statements
  • Build and maintain relationships with key journalists and editors
  • Help organise events and visits for the media, including press launches and exhibitions
  • Make use of social media to enhance awareness of the company messaging
  • Work closely with the company's PR agencies to identify and create potential news stories

Required Skills:

  • University Degree
  • Proven experience of working either in house as a media relations executive or in an PR agency (minimum of 2 years)
  • The ability to communicate effectively and confidently with people at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously as part of a wider team
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence key internal and external stakeholders
