Marketing Manager - Student Accommodation

£50000 - £60000 per annum + pension, bonus

An emergent, fresh and unique national and international student accommodation provider is seeking to ratchet up their brand awareness and improve marketing quality.

Working with the Partners and COO, you will be joining the team at a crucial time of the academic cycle, in a creative and highly-accountable role to champion marketing for the business in line with the growth strategy and brand awareness targets. In the context of strong investment in marketing from the Partners and investors, you will be afforded creative licence to try new techniques, allocate resources and drive student satisfaction.

Role Overview:

  • Creative brand development, both visual and conceptual, for each UK location
  • Competitor and target market analysis including the international audience, and concomitant segmentation
  • Setting strategy, planning and implementation of annual promotional campaigns for the brand and each individual location, including:
    • Collateral
    • PR
    • Experiential marketing and on-site events
    • Email
    • Social media
    • Online content optimisation
    • User experience
  • Collaborating with colleagues on-site at each asset to roll out campaigns, and gather feedback
  • Online and email campaign analytics and incorporation into marketing plans
  • Monitoring campaign activity and reporting ROI to senior stakeholders
  • Communicating activity internally across the firm
  • Managing the digital agency and marketing budgets for each asset
  • Communicating marketing plans and success to investors
  • Managing one direct report

Skills, Traits & Experience:

  • Appreciable marketing experience at manager level including digital channels, ideally in an international consumer capacity
  • A creative mind, able to understand the customer and develop unique propositions and messaging
  • A test-and-learn approach; unafraid of new methods and a willingness to instigate change
  • Confident, professional communicator
  • Strong copywriting ability and thirst for research
  • Agency and budget management experience
  • Mentorship or line management desirable
