Internal Comms Manager

You will lead the strategic development, planning and delivery of internal comms, and ensure that all staff are informed, engaged and motivated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the development of the group wide internal communications strategy, informing and exciting all colleagues, and subsequently supporting the organisations cultural ambitions.
  • Leading the planning of a scheduled sequence of internal communication activities that effectively drives staff engagement to meet agreed business objectives.
  • To create a singular voice for the Group's internal communications.
  • Establish and embed a process that engages all areas of the business to support the successful implementation of the internal communications plan by effectively maintaining, controlling and coordinating all internal communications activity.
  • Business partnering with key areas of the business to support the company's strategic plans including HR, Risk, IT, Ops, Product, Sales and Marketing.
  • To act as the Group content owner of the new Intranet and actively promote and encourage its use as the first point of engagement with all staff and to provide insight into its future development.
  • Report on the effectiveness of internal communications and key successes and engagement by obtaining and interpreting feedback of internal events and campaigns.
  • Line manage and coach all direct reports, including all aspects of performance management, development, conduct, sickness management, appraisals, employee administration and recruitment.
  • Maintain the company's compliance standards and ensure timely completion of all mandatory on-line training modules.

Key requirements:

  • Previous experience in an internal communications role developing and implementing communications is essential.
  • Experience of generating and writing content is essential.
  • Previous experience in a line management position is essential.
  • Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders is desirable.
  • Experience working within Financial Services is desirable.
  • Intermediate HTML skills (including CSS) are essential.
  • An intermediate level of knowledge re the use of Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.
  • An advanced level of knowledge re web design is essential.
  • A basic knowledge of regulations relating to marketing within the financial services industry is desirable.
  • A robust knowledge of tools used to manage digital marketing assets (in particular InDesign) is highly desirable.
