Head of Event Marketing - London Portfolio

Event-driven project-leader-style Head of Marketing role covering three London mixed-use retail and leisure sites.

Joining a global property business, you will drive the planning and execution of communication programmes that deliver against footfall expectations and support tenants' brand vision, covering three key assets across London. The position has very much a project-manager style, where you will share ideas and progress with senior internal stakeholders, manage agencies and your team of three to deliver to brief, and also engage with tenants and community members.

Responsibilities:

  • Propose and agree annual plans that support occupier needs, clients' vision for their assets and incorporates customer insight and learnings from previous years
  • Propose agency support and resource required and manage delivery
  • Regularly review the plans using customer feedback and performance metrics to drive improvements
  • Provide regular reports to senior management and the client's representatives on activity, and provide insights and suggestions on innovations and alterations
  • Working with event agencies, prepare and implement a structured calendar of events throughout the year
  • Communicate and promote the planned events to office staff, local community and visitors
  • Devise a communications plan to engage residents, office workers and local community of the assets, to include but not limited to: CRM, digital, social, outdoor
  • Manage the local website and social media presence, creating an interesting and usable site that engages end users
  • Work with PR agencies to devise a publicity programme for events and activities, write articles and develop relationships with key influencers
  • Ensure clients' brand values, personality and asset branding are represented when proposing and planning events and communication
  • Contribute to the development of the branding for the assets, in particular through the use of end user and operational insights
  • As line manager, provide support and direction to the events and communication teams based at each asset

Background & Capability:

  • Appreciable generalist marketing management experience, with events as a key channel
  • Successful management of direct reports, consultants and suppliers
  • Ability to develop and prepare annual plans to support customer engagement and brand vision
  • Experience in managing agencies and media partners
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Capable of effective prioritisation, ability to work to deadlines and willingness to multitask when necessary
  • Good networking skills and the ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Knowledge of and willingness to embrace digital, social and innovative technologies
  • Customer focus and understanding
  • Track record in delivery of commercial targets and budget management
  • A drive and enthusiasm for continuous improvement and experience of change management
  • Confident presenting ideas and briefing senior executives
