Our client is a leading charity who works across 50 different countries. Reporting into the Managing Director the Chief Marketing and Engagement Officer you will look after a well-established team of around 35 employees.

The Chief Marketing and Engagement Officer will be a highly credible and expert communicator, who will provide operational and strategic leadership to the Marketing and Engagement teams. The engagement plan is critical to raising awareness, understanding and supporting the charity globally.


To devise and lead an engagement plan that contributes to the charities purpose

  • Own and manage the full customer and supporter journey which involves providing marketing support, improving membership performance and providing content to help ensure public programmes are delivered to a high quality
  • Responsible for effective use of customer data and lead the charity's customer relationship management plan
  • Utilise data analytics and research to drive the engagement experience and drive performance KPI's across all channels
  • To deliver public facing components of the charities' strategy to ensure that these meet the national and international requirements of all stakeholder and wider societal needs
  • Manage the Press Office
  • Creative Content and storytelling. Oversee strategic content development and creative culture with in the team
  • Responsible for the Internal Communications plan and delivery to staff
  • Full accountability for all digital platforms including the website, social media platforms, affiliates email and apps
  • Responsibility for Marketing working together with the Head of Marketing

Person Specification

  • Proven senior marketing experience developing and implementing strategies or plans matched to commercial and wider business objectives
  • Track record of developing and embedding strategic plans for marketing and engagement at a senior level in a diverse organisation
  • Leading and managing large teams
  • Proven experience of delivering high impact brand marketing campaigns as part of an integrated campaign
  • Experience of spreadsheets and financial reporting is essential
  • Track record in delivering marketing campaigns across various digital social media channels
  • Proven experience of leading market research
  • Experience of developing membership programs
