A leading global web hosting and cloud services company is recruiting for a Senior Internal Communications Manager role on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for developing and executing global internal communication strategies with primary responsibility for UK office communications. You will be responsible for inspiring confidence in the Company's vision, performance and leadership through implementing effective communication plans. You will help influence and advance the Company culture to align with Company strategy and objectives. You will ensure effective internal communications support for all strategies, announcements, company performance and external developments. Additionally this role helps their International comms team to tell their Company story through strategic internal presentations.

You will:

  • Attend UK Leadership Team meetings as the communications representative and work with the UK Managing Director to ensure they are communicating key messages to internal audiences.
  • Proactively take direction from International leaders and develop a supporting story which includes visuals (ie PPT and newsletters, etc…) and talking points (ie exec comms, speaker notes, etc..).
  • Leverage the annual communications strategy to increase employee awareness and knowledge of the organizational strategy, policies and programs.
  • Develop messaging for a broad array of projects and business situations; enhancing company-wide communications through development and execution of the annual communications strategy, and standard business communications.
  • Manage communications to employees through publications, events, speeches, videos and other communications channels in order to motivate and focus employees on achieving company goals.
  • Counsel internal stakeholders on effective communications and the impact their business decisions have on internal constituencies.
  • Establish communications and public affairs standards (e.g., style guide, scorecard) for UK communications teams in order to maintain quality control.
  • Develop and deliver training to build capability among the communications team. Identifying, classifying, maintaining, and protecting files, documentation and sensitive information. Providing direct supervision, development, training, scheduling, assessing, counseling, and mentoring to assigned staff.
  • Implement quarterly communications strategies that help drive employee engagement and awareness of their direction and vision.
  • Develop a quarterly communications plan that brings their engagement statement to life across the International organization.

Required skills:

  • Strong knowledge of effective communication channels and ability to enhance capability to deliver messages and respond to inquiries and statements from internal employees.
  • Desire to use digital technology to enhance internal communication already in place and appeal to a wider audience. Also includes the ability to develop project plans, allocate resources, identify potential issues/risks and develop contingency plans. Any mobile or app comms experience would be highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage projects to ensure successful delivery (on time, within budget, meeting agreed upon success criteria) to establish clear goals and accountabilities.
  • The ability to create written and visual communication, collateral materials and staging to support high-impact visits, meetings or events.
  • The ability to coordinate the logistics necessary to plan for and execute the tasks needed to create a successful visit, meeting or event.
  • Proven delivery of effective communications on business performance, plans, leadership comms, etc
  • Delivery of regular and well-attended internal UK events as set out in a quarterly internal comms plan.
  • Proven continuous improvement in the readership of newsletters/intranet sites etc.
  • Proven delivery of any Scorecard & targets set quarterly.
