A leader in their field, this hardware and software solutions organisation is seeking an Internal Communications Officer to join their Employee Engagement team. This company is a leader in their field with a presence in 19 countries that service over 800,000 people in 90 countries.

Reporting to the Head of Employee Engagement, responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to and aid delivery of the company-wide IC plans, strategies programmes and activities that align with the company's vision, mission and strategy
  • Help devise and deliver IC projects in a timely, creative and cost effective manner
  • Maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of IC channels
  • Develop, write and edit content for the employee intranet, employee newsletter, notice boards, posters and other IC channels
  • Support the planning and co-ordination of employee conferences, events and seminars as required
  • Play a leading role in the continued evolution of the employee intranet as a key IC tool
  • Be the first point of contact for IC enquiries and requests for advice
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of IC messages and channels on an ongoing basis and make appropriate recommendations and improvements
  • Research, develop and promote new IC tools
  • Day-to-day administration of the IC budget
  • Support the Head of Employee Engagement with ad-hoc internal communication and engagement projects and activities as required
  • Support the Corporate fundraising strategy
  • Promote the Volunteering Programme and support volunteers

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in internal communications, copywriting experience, and experience of working on an intranet or other online communications tool. You will have the ability to take complex information and create clear, relevant copy for target audiences, work on own initiative and as part of the wider HR team, and to respond quickly and proactively to change within the business and its internal environment. You will have excellent oral and written skills, have effective communication and interpersonal skills with people at all levels, and be able to work well in a standalone role. A highly creative approach is necessary to ensure communications are effective across a range of channels (written, photographic, film, printed, digital), and you will need to deliver creative and innovative communications campaigns to support and endorse the work of the company and enhance its reputation. Experience of using Adobe Illustrator or InDesign would be advantageous.
