An entrepreniual and growing retail/telecoms client are looking for a Head of Online Business Unit to join the business. This critical role will report into c-suite and will provide the lead in creating a new level of capability and excellence for the online piece of the business.
In the role the candidate will lead the thinking and plans working with the executive team to build a business unit that will become viewed as a leader in the on-line market. You will be tasked with driving the business performance of the unit to a new level, capturing the huge opportunity that lies in this market. The unit will also provide an exciting commercial and operational platform for further developments of group plans.
This individual will have the appetite and capability to push the boundaries across the online channels and a proven track-record in succesfully managing all elements of the on-line business; search, paid for advertising, social media and networking and othere elements that would be critical to the success of the on-line business unit. This person will deploy a sizable online marketing budget in the most efficient way possible, exceeding growth expectations while operating within cost and efficiency targets improving existing methods and exploiting the latest relevant innovations in digital marketing.
You will devise the online marketing strategy and own the online marketing budget. KPI's for this role will include customer base growth, GA's, growth in on-line revenue, retention and customer life-time value and acquisition costs.
The succesful candidate will have significant experience in executing and owning the Online P+L in a high growth on-line business, both on-line only and blended on and off line business within a consumer environment. You will be an ambitious, entrepreniual type who enjoys working to stretching growth targets in a fast paced environment. You will be working in a senior Online/Digital/Online Sales roles currently within a B2C business - and will be exceptionally passionate about the digital space. You will have experience managing multi-million pound online marketing budget.
